
The Ford Mustang was introduced at the 1964 New York
World's Fair. It was designed to appeal to the baby
boom generation. The American people loved it, it
was a well-made American car, and great on fuel and
the cost was reasonable at $2,400 for a hardtop and
$2,600 for a convertable. Less than two years after
it was intoduced it sold over one million cars,
making it one of the most popular cars ever sold in
the United States. Mustang was equipped with a
200 horsepower,
In 1966 the changes that were made to the car were
mainly cosmetic. Consumers were given thirty-three
more color options (
red ,
teal,
orange,
blue,
brown,
etc.)
for interior and exterior styles to choose from. It
was a small sporty car which was good to look at and
